Our mission, to foster a sense of community by providing a facility for social arts and civic activities, with priority given to non-profit and community events To fulfill our stewardship of the Bayview Hall with ongoing renovations, maintenance, and improvements in a manner that preserves its history and style. We promote community ownership of the hall by maintaining an atmosphere of accessibility for all South Whidbey residents.
First Saturday Art Walk
Downtown Langley’s First and Second Street are lined with art galleries, and the Langley Art Walk is the perfect way to find out what’s going on in each of them. The first Saturday of the month between 5 and 7 p.m., each participating gallery opens their doors to showcase stunning works from local artists and regionally-produced art. Refreshments, music and special surprises are often on hand.
Island Shakespeare Festival
Island Shakespeare Festival draws upon the timeless exploration of the human spirit inherent to classical theater to reflect, renew, and redefine the diversity of our shared experience through performances accessible to all.
Whidbey Island Fair
Quality exhibits from the farm, including all types of livestock and crops, horticulture and floriculture, are on display. From the home, all types of handwork are represented: clothing, needlework, baking, art exhibits, canning, quilting and fiber arts. Our young people share their interests and development through various projects chosen for recreation and learning.
Whidbey Island Kayaking
Come enjoy kayak tours for beginner and intermediate explorers, tour sizes that are usually small and intimate, Experienced and friendly guides that choose the best course for that day, views of the Cascade Mountains - from Baker to Rainer and all the peaks between, activities just for night owls: bioluminescent experiences or try paddling by the full moon, majestic bald eagles, curious harbor seals, dungeness crab, great blue herons and more. If you love nature then Whidbey Island Kayaking is definitely for you!

Beachcombing
The thrill of the hunt. Looking for beach-glass, special rocks, driftwood or treasures the latest storm blew in.
FEBRUARY-OCTOBER
Digging for Clams
Considered to be one of the quintessential Pacific Northwest activities, clam digging is a fun, cheap and family-friendly activity that will provide delicious meals and incredible memories. Fun for all ages, all that is needed to clam dig is a permit, an implement to dig the clams and a container to put the clams in once you have found them.
MARCH-SEPTEMBER
Whale Watching
Come aboard the Mystic Sea for their guaranteed whale watch out of Langley March -April for the Gray Whales. Sailings out of Anacortes May - September for the Gray , Orcas, Humpback and Minke Whales.

Toes in the sand
Leave your shoes on the driftwood and put your toes in the warm sand.
