GETTING HERE

Whidbey Island is located in northern Puget Sound. It is 40 miles long, starting from its southern tip near Mukilteo, Washington (about 30 miles north of Seattle), and averages 2 miles in width.
You may choose to drive to the Boatyard Inn and enjoy a ferry ride across Puget Sound. But note that the Boatyard Inn is also accessible by private boat, with moorage available in the adjacent public marina. Boaters interested in moorage at the Langley public marina can find information at www.portofsouthwhidbey.com. Or you may want to indulge in an exotic Northwest mode of transportation by chartering a float plane and landing on our beach. Check out www.kenmoreair.com.
